Like every other business, NN Life Luxembourg aims to be profitable and at the same time has a responsibility to be socially engaged. This role gives our company a broader sense of purpose. By aligning our business and corporate social responsibility initiatives, the company can support people in improving their life quality.
NN Life Luxembourg and NN Investment Partners took the opportunity of the New Brand Gala Dinner to make a donation to a charity association. Mr Marcel Hagendoorn, President of Make-A-Wish Luxembourg, received a cheque for the amount of € 10.000 to support the association. Make-A-Wish is a charity which grants wishes to terminally ill children in Luxembourg and our donation will help to achieve wishes for 2-3 children. Because what matters to them, also matters to us.

But being socially engaged is not only about donation; it is also about supporting healthy behaviors and promoting healthy lifestyles. At NN Group, sport and more specifically running is part of the culture. Our history shows we have been in running sponsorship since years. In Luxembourg, we are proud to have continued this legacy.
NN Life Luxembourg and NN Investment Partners sponsored the main sport event in Luxembourg, the ING Night Marathon, on Saturday 30th of May 2015 for its 10th edition. This event gathered 11,000 runners from all around the world and 100,000 supporters in Luxembourg streets.
For brand awareness prospective, this sponsoring was a big opportunity. In addition to the NN beach flags and banners that were visible all along the race, NN Life Luxembourg and NN Investment Partners sponsored 2 key VIP areas of the race. Both companies hosted the NN tribune − actually the only tribune at the departure lane, allowing our guests benefiting from a unique view on the start lane − and the NN Runners’ lounge offering a privileged access to a cozy area near the arrival line.

But the sponsoring did not only consist in hospitality. As socially engaged companies, NN Life Luxembourg and NN Investment Partners wanted to do more. By sponsoring “the 5k run for success” race during the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg 2015, the Luxembourg insurance and investment companies show their commitment to healthier lifestyles through running activities. More than 500 runners participated to this race whose starting point where based under the “Your miles matter” arch.
